This website is for discovering new music. If you find a band you really enjoy, go to their show, buy a shirt, or do something to show your support. Bands don't make much money from album sales anyways. However, if you just download their music and that's it, then the band doesn't make anything at all and they probably won't make anymore music for you to listen to. The music on this blog is for promotional uses only.
Head over to our website (www.majorbear.com) tomorrow night to listen to two new releases! Mike Bell and the Movies (Philadelphia, PA feat. members from Algernon Cadwallader, Dangerous Ponies, and Bandname) and SRVVLST (Columbus, OH). If you really enjoy them, you will be able to download them and/or preorder the vinyl. There will be bundles! See you tomorrow!

So this tumblr has kind of been turning less into a free music site and more into updates about our associated label, Major Bear Records. I would like to include some more free music promotions for you…
Promotion time! We are doing a special limited amount (about 10) of a shirt with a design by Dustin from You’ll Live. This shirt will come with orders of the split. The people who were on the ball and ordered the split first on 4/20 will be receiving one with their order (please check your e-mails, we will need a size from you). Tonight at midnight (EST/EDT) we will be giving away the remaining shirts with orders of the split (look for an option that says FREE SHIRT). If you order after midnight tonight, please include your shirt size with your order.
Wow, saying it’s been a tough week would be an understatement. There aren’t any bandages that will help us heal as a people, but music is one of the things we can still take comfort in. After 16:20 EDT this afternoon, put the discount code “music heals” with your orders to receive 10% off. Additionally, all orders made out to the fine residents of Massachusetts and Texas will receive another 10% off (this will be applied after the order is processed). As announced before, preorders for the 4 way split and new Peace Be Still EP will start today at 16:20 as well. Let’s all take a minute to take a few deep breaths in through the nose and out through the mouth and please remember, only focus your anger on the individuals involved, not the places/ethnicities they are from. See you later! ♥
(If you already preordered the Good Vibes repress, please add a note to any additional orders and your shipping will be refunded for one of the orders. All three records will be finished around the same time: June)
We will begin preorders for the new Peace Be Still 7” EP on the same day as the You’ll Live, Cheyenne, Two Humans, Peace Be Still split goes up. Look for a bundle deal!!
These two records and the William Bonney record are all coming out around the same time. If you previously ordered Good Vibes and want either of the 7”s, just add a note to your order saying you have ordered Good Vibes. I will remove the shipping charge from the other order so you get all the records at once and don’t pay extra for shipping.
Go on our bandcamp tomorrow to listen to a couple new songs from this EP, the band and myself are really excited to share it with you! I feel spoiled that I have been listening to it bunches.
We will begin preorders for the 4 way split with You’ll Live, Peace Be Still, Two Humans, and Cheyenne on April 20 @ 16:20 EST. 400 will be “black cat” and 100 will be “calico cat”. Don’t forget to bring a towel!
Alright, so I know you guys have painful boners in anticipation for this. Unless something unforeseen occurs this is what the 2nd pressing will be. 200 with the white baghead guy on the unplayable side, 100 with the brown. The jackets WILL BE THE SAME for all 300. The picture just shows the front and back of the jacket, you can decide which is which, either the classic you are familiar with or the previously unreleased alternative. 00:00 hrs is 12 am, hope you weren’t planning on doing anything on a Saturday night…

I know a couple people besides myself that are going to be absolutely stoked about this album. I had no idea this band was still up to stuff, but I fell hard for their last little EP, Recur Breath (or whatever the proper translation is). This is their debut LP, so after that little cock tease of an album last year, you are getting your brains fucked out by this one. I know a few people have been requesting a new link for Climb the Mind but I had a really hard time finding all of that so I am not sure when I will get around do that, so for now I think this will tie you over. I just wish they sang in english, then it would be perfect because I could sing along along…
