This website is for discovering new music. If you find a band you really enjoy, go to their show, buy a shirt, or do something to show your support. Bands don't make much money from album sales anyways. However, if you just download their music and that's it, then the band doesn't make anything at all and they probably won't make anymore music for you to listen to. Text NOW ACCEPTING SAMPLER SUBMISSIONS

Last summer, we put out the A Speck of Dust | International Sampler 2012 that exhibited bands we put out and our friends from around the world. We are currently taking submissions to be on the winter sampler! If you are put on the sampler, you will not only get exposure online on our bandcamp, but the sampler will be sent out for free to people that order our records. If you are a band outside of the United States and want to be on this, send and e-mail to: sigdrecords@gmail.com

Notes A Plethora of News

Hey guys, wanna throw some things at you.

1) Peace Be Still is going to be visiting the United States for a couple dates. They have a show in Grand Rapids tomorrow with Hop Along and Charles the Osprey, and a free one in Chicago the next day at the Livewire Lounge.

2) Everything is on track with the You’ll Live release. We should have them ready to ship in about three weeks

3) State Lines is going on tour soon, and they want people in the areas they are hitting up to listen to their new album beforehand. They are being proactive so they get as many people out as possible, which is smart. Their EP via Tiny Engines is rad anyways, so it’s a win win. As far as I know, they are coming to Michigan and the surrounding areas sometime in January, so be on the lookout for that.

4) I’ve been meaning to do this for awhile, but I haven’t gotten around to it until now. My sister has a webcomic that deals with her and her partners journey in being a same sex couple and their pursuit of having a child. I am pretty excited that I am going to be an uncle (I also feel somewhat old). I am very proud of what she is doing. Her comic is on tumblr, so you can follow her there.

I decided to go for a limited edition shirt for when we go to Pouzza Fest in Montreal with Peace Be Still.

This is not meant to be like, “ah-ha you guys suck”. As a Red Wings/hockey fan, I have a lot of respect for the Montreal Canadiens organization and its rich history. I feel like we have a similar style of play as well. Watching the habs fall to last in the Eastern conference was a shock to me, so I could only imagine how bad things were in Montreal, a city that takes a lot of pride in its team/hockey.

The “Ceci n’est pas…” is a Rene Magritte reference, just cause the print of La Trahison de Images hangs in my room and it was the first thing I thought of when drawing inspiration for something for Montreal.

Any thoughts would be appreciated!
